Practice

My goal is to assist you to find how and what you need and desire. I believe that you have all the answers you seek inside yourself and I would guide you to find the resources to cope effectively. I view the therapy in terms of the “I-Thou” and the “Here and Now.” What occurs in therapy is what occurs outside of therapy. That is, the same patterns you have in your life come up in the therapy session and here is where the work and the learning occurs. Therapy should not only provide a relief from symptoms but also give you the tools to live a more fully realized and aware life. I am committed to helping you achieve this.

Gestalt psychotherapy has been described in different terms by many professionals. It is present centered, awareness-oriented, dynamic, interactive, experiential and it can be lively. It is creative and supports personal transformation and reconnects you to your true self. It can bring your heart back into your daily experiences. Over the years, I have studied the patterns of how people connect with themselves and with others. Some people have deadened themselves to protect themselves from turmoil and distress. What I love most about this form of therapy is how individuals have rediscovered their inner joy and unpeeled their hearts.

Many of my patients come to my practice from the spiritual communities as well as from the creative, artistic and music fields and the GLBT community. Many are seeking healing from current stress/anxiety or from past childhood trauma. I have a multi-cultural practice from people from all over the world & I love my work.

It is essential for you to feel completely comfortable with your therapist in order to discuss the details of your life. I would be happy to answer your questions and provide you with an initial sense of who I am as a helping professional and of how I work. Please feel free to contact me for a consultation.
